Instructions For The Assembly Of The Panels
Mechanical Assembly
The panels can be fixed mechanically by using dowels and screws as well as chemically, by using Smartstone chemicals. In chemical assembly, it is suggested to be supported also with dowels and screws.
The list of equipments which are needed and suggested are as follows; A ruler for measurement, a profile of about 2 meters long in order to use for the correct marking of the points for cutting and a pencil, gloves, nippers, hammer, utility knife, screwdriver (electrical and rechargeable is prefered), flex with a diamond disc (electrical cutting machine), eyeglasses, drill, dowels and screws.
After having measured the place, the points which need to be cut are marked with pencil and ruler. Panels are cut through the marked points with a flex with a diamond disc.
If the application will be done to a surface including corners, then the corner panels must be assembled first and for and adequate fixation, enough screw holes must be drilled and screwed between the spaces on the panels where the grout will be applied.
The joints of the edge panel and the lock panel are connected and then a complete fixing should be done with the screws
The preparation of the grout
After the fixation of the panels, the joints and screws should be filled with the grout and an orginal colouring should be applied on the grout. Equipments for this process are brushes and spatulas with different dimensions, mixing pots, piece of cloth for cleaning and water.
The grout and the hardening purchased from Smartstone should be mixed by following the instructions on the packages and the grout is prepared both materials must be well mixed.
The grout is applied to the joints and on screws with a brush or spatula and the excess amount of grout is cleaned with a damp of cloth or brush.
After the grout is dried, a special color should be applied on the grout with a brush. Color should be shaked well before using.
